News:

  • 09-08-01 - Im back in CA, except this time im trying so cal instead of nor cal. I bought a supra, and im on the pipe again. I made a quick page with some info on it here.

  • 11-07-00 - Welp, my plans for getting another car have been delayed for awhile. Im moving from NYC to Amsterdam, so i wont have another car for awhile. Im going to be keeping my apartment in manhattan while living in amsterdam.. so ill probably be spending some time in the states every few months.

  • 07-05-00 - Alot of people have emailed wondering whats up, so here is the scoop: I sold the care in late May, and arrived in NYC June 5th. Ive been screwing around alot (nyc is good for that), and working on a little website project ( Weirdo.com ). I got an apt in the village soon as i arrived, but i havent been able to move in because they are working on it. I should be moved into it the first week of July. Im currently staying in a temporary furnished apartment on thompson st in soho. My office is in the meatpacking dist. .. so ive been doing alot of walking. Havent seen one NSX here yet...

  • 05-10-00 - Im moving to manhattan, so im puting the NSX up for sale. You can get more info here.

  • 01-25-00 - Willow was fun last weekend. I finished in 4th place of the time trial, with a 1:43 lap on a wet track. The guy who won was doing about 1:37-38 in practice on a dry track and i could keep up with him. Next time it should be much closer. Not to bad considering none of the people who finished ahead of me drove home on the tires they raced on (and 2 of them trailored home. what pansies). ;)

  • 01-18-00 - I have scheduled a time with Randy at RM to bring my car to arizona. He will be installing the big n2o kit, along with some fuel system mods. Ill be driving the car down to his shop tuesday night, and should be back with it on saturday night or sunday. The season opening IDRC race at pomona is in Febuary.. i refuse to be beaten again by a stock looking dsm running low 12's. Will keep you posted... :-)

  • 01-13-00 - I had the comptech test pipes installed this morning. Wow does it sound different. It seems to amplify everything.. its deeper and louder. They saved about 25-30 pounds, but i wont know the hp gain till i dyno the car. Im gunna try to have it done friday..

  • 01-7-00 - Ill be at the Alfa Romeo Owners of Southern California time trial/race event at willow springs on Jan 22-23, let me know if your going we can hook up. Since im slow as hell ill be in the time trial group, no wheel to wheel racing for me yet. Cat test pipes are on the way from Comptech, track use only ofcourse. :P

  • 01-6-00 - My car is currently at Dando's in fremont. I had some weird grooving of the rear rotors. Randy at RM was able to get AP to send me out a new set of rotors and pads (no cost! go randy! :)) so they are installing those parts, flipping my rear tires, and putting in some new cvc boots.

  • 11-29-99 - Added the pictures from the Autobuzz website to my pictures page. Has a nice shot in front of the tower, and also of the AP brakes. We have alot of footage from video cameras and some great photos to encode, once thats done ill put them up. Also got a few with some models.. mmmm..

  • 11-29-99 - I spent thanksgiving weekend at the IDRC Finals in Pomona with some friends. Ill write up more info on the event this week, untill then you can see some pix of my car on the Autobuzz website. My best time of 4 runs was a 13.3@103mph w/ 1.9 60ft (<-- hit the rev limiter and didnt shift to fourth gear) , and my very first run ever was a 13.5@105mph saturday morning.

  • 11-23-99 - I needed to get some new front tires mounted so i brought the car down to Custom Alignment in Mountain View. Since it was there i asked them to corner weight it and do an alignment. I was talking with the tech who did all the work after it was completed, and he said this was the most balanced street car they have setup (street car being NON tube frame :)). Here are the numbers:
    Before
    Left Front672lbRight Front654lb
    Left Rear916lbRight Rear921lb
    Cross1570lb49.6%
    Left1588lb50.2%
    Rear1837lb58.1%
    Total3163lb
    After
    Left Front667lbRight Front659lb
    Left Rear921lbRight Rear914lb
    Cross1580lb50.0%
    Left1588lb50.2%
    Rear1835lb58.1%
Total3161lb<-- save 2lbs with new tires! hah! :-)
These numbers include a full tank of gas, 150 pounds of lead in the driver seat, the comptech rollbar/doorbars, and spare tire.. nothing was removed.

  • 10-14-99 - The List Archive has been back up for about 2 weeks.. seems pretty stable now.

  • 8-18-99 - My mail server was down for a week or 2, so if you sent me anything this month go ahead and resend. I wasnt just ignoring you. :-)

  • 7-30-99 - Sorry been slaving away, not update in awhile. The List Archive Search is down for now, it crashed and dont have the time to reverse engineer it. Ill make a note here when its back up.

  • 6-23-99 - I archived all the NSX mailing lists (main, tech, and regionals) and put them into a searchable index. Click on the Search link on top to check it out.

  • 6-23-99 - RM big brake kit arrived today!! Woo hoo! Its going to be installed tomorrow. Im also having the exhaust rewelded, and the car aligned.. looks like it will be ready in time for the Ferrari club event at WS this weekend!

  • 6-18-99 - I ordered the RM Racing big brake kit today. AP Racing calipers and 13" drilled rotors front and rear. I was going to go with the slotted since they are a little bit stronger, but i wanted to get them installed before the Ferrari event at WS on the 26th and they didnt have any in stock... we'll see if ill make it in time..

  • 6-6-99 - Sorry no update in awhile, ive been working like a dog! Enough excuses, i dynoed my car today with some other people. Ive put the info, and scanned charts on the mods page. I think the car did very well, considering most stock 3.0L NSX's get about 235 at the wheels.. That makes about a 20HP increase *at the wheels* from just RM exhaust and intake!

  • 5-20-99 - I finally got around to getting my car aligned today. Turns out that the left rear toe control arm was bent. Its a cheap part, but no one stocks it. They say its gunna be awhile before it comes in.... The piece was bent due to improper hookup on a flatbed (read the buttonwillow race article if you want to know more). :-(

  • 5-19-99 - Ive never been to a drag strip and raced, but ill be going down to so cal for Battle Of The Imports this weekend. It should be fun.. ill try to find a cam corder to mount for incar footage.

  • 5-7-99 - Along with talking to JG about a TT install, ive talked to Jim at MechTech. MechTech modifies the Bell TT system with their own custom fuel system. The MechTech TT price surprised me alot.. less than 11k installed. And they can do the install in about 2 days, including all intercooler/intake/exhaust modifications. The JG system would be more powerfull, but more work is involved. It would include a motec fuel system, modified internals, turbos, intercoolers and complete blue printing of the engine. They wanted about 25k installed.

  • 4-26-99 - I was on the phone for awhile with the folks over at JG Engine Dynamics today. I had called to get information on them building/installing a TT system for the car, and was very impressed. They will be faxing me a quote with the rundown on all the pricing/labor/parts.. in includes a full motec engine management system, turbos, intercoolers, and some internal mods (with the boost/power numbers they were talking im assuming they are including internal mods). Ill post more as i get the info. The ball park price they gave me was about what i expected... if only i didnt have to pay those taxes.... im now taking donations, send inquries to mike@blazen.com. :-)

  • 4-23-99 - Was hanging out with some RX7 folks, and we went to get our cars weighed. I was surprised my nsx with the comptech rollbar (that thing is heavy!) and spare tire weighed in at 3050 pounds. If i drop in a black panther battery, and some race seats.. i could get way under 3000... There was also a 95 Supra TT there, he weighed in a little over 3500 ... oink oink! (just kiddin sushi! :-)) Oh yah, one of the guys pointed out my tags had expired... woops!! Lucky i havent gotten stopped yet.

  • 4-17-99 - Encoded some footage from willow springs on the 14th. Its on the Videos page.

  • 4-14-99 - After much hasle trying to get my car to go in a straight line, i went to WillowSprings for a FastLane/pro celeb school/practice thing. Ill have a write up done soon as i finish sending all all my tax info. (damn feds taking all my money%^!@) I also remember to run the in car camera this time! Ill have some footage encoded tonight.

  • 4-12-99 - I dropped my car off at GoldenGate Acura on friday the 9th, for 60k mile service, and to have it realigned. I think the alignment had gotten out of wack durring the flatbed trip from bakersfield to San Jose. The service was supposed to take 1 day, but they have now had it for 3 open service days, and they cant even align it because its lowered. What a joke.. i wish one of these days i could find a place who knows how to service a car. I hope i get it back in time for the Willow Springs track thing this week.

  • 4-12-99 - Patrick O'Krongly sent me some scans of the Comptech NSX article inside Road & Track.

  • 4-7-99 - Woops! My mail server was down for a few days, its back up now.. wondering why i wasnt getting any comments... if you have sent mail to me in the past few days, go ahead and resend. :-)

  • 4-5-99 - Updated the Tracks page with info from the time trial at Buttonwillow.

  • 3-30-99 - The car was overheating because the idiots at the shop who worked on it didnt add any coolant after swapping the coolant bottle. Enough leaked out to cause it to suck in air under certain conditions. Topped it off with coolant, and it appears to have purged itself of the trapped air.

  • 3-29-99 - Woops! The building were my server is colocated had a wee bit of a power problem. It was down from about midnight till 3pm today.

  • 3-28-99 - GOD DAMN IT! My car is over heating now. The shop who fucked up the gear/clutch install, also put in the new RM coolant bottle. I should have figured when i got it back and vacuum lines were disconnected from the engine, they couldnt have done it rite. Im not sure why its over heating, but i cant wait to visit this shop on monday. All the lines have been reconnected, im thinking there may be some air bubbles in the coolant system messing things up.

  • 3-27-99 - Updated the nsx vids page with some AVI's i made over the weekend. Its in car footage cruising around the hills.

  • 3-26-99 - I got the car back a few days ago. Wee! Its much quicker with the short gears installed, the clutch is working fine now. It turned out to be a warped pressure plate, due to improper install. The car is working great now, but i have to drop it off at Los Gatos Acura to get the front end fixed from when that butt monkey backed into me. Oh well.. atleast i can go to TCC @ Buttonwillow before im without a car again.

  • 3-18-99 - Its now been over 1 week without a reliable car. The shop who did the gear/clutch install fucked the car all up. I would like to thank Randy at RM racing, and Chris the owner of Clutch Masters for going above and beyond the call of duty to help get my car working properly again. Expect a full write up on the situation once its resolved.. stay tuned.

  • 3-13-99 - I was at a stop light, and the guy in front of me backed into me. It wouldnt have been so bad if he wasnt driving a 1ton dodge van, with a towing thing on the back&*!@#* Can you say reamed? Now im gunna have to fight with insurance to get it fixed correctly.. jesus this sucks.

  • 3-12-99 - I dropped my car off to get the parts installed wed, and got it back today. The bottle looks cool, but the tranny seems pretty notchy.. im gunna try to use it this weekend and see if it gets any better. Hopefully it will, i dont wanna be without my car again for atleast a few weeks.. :-) Ill have new pix up of the mods this weekend. I also got a cam corder mount for the rollbar, and plan to get a cam corder saturday. I should have some encoded in car footage by monday.

  • 3-3-99 - My clutch has been getting really bad. Its almost undrivable! I ordered a RM clutch, RM spoiler, RM aluminum coolant bottle, and short gears. I also noticed the rear tire wear has gotten weird since the comptech suspension install. After about 30-40 miles, there is enough tire dust on the rear quarter panel to turn your fingers black if you touch it. I think i need to get the alignment checked... :-)

  • 2-23-99 - Talked to Randy at RM, he gave me the info of a person at B&B to talk to about getting the exhaust fixed/replaced. Im taking it off, and shipping them the muffler back for inspection/replacement. Have to run the stocker for a while... *sigh*. :-)

  • 2-21-99 - Between storms i took some pix of the car with new suspension components and rollbar. Scroll down a bit and you can see the thumbnails. I also made a small comparison pix page displaying pictures of the car from the same angle, after different modifications.

  • 2-20-99 - While my car was over at Comptech, the tech noticed my muffler had a large crack in it (coincidence? I doubt it.. i dont think they need a muffler sale that bad.:)). Ive never had a problem with a B&B made system, and ive emailed RM in hopes of getting a replacement or having it fixed. Ill post an update soon as i hear back.

  • 2-19-99 - Picked up the car from Comptech today. They did an awesome job! I would like to thank them for the great deal, and the techs who did the install. It was *very* well done. The suspension is firm, but not as stiff as i thought it would be. Im going to wait till i visit Sears Point on the 27th before tweekeing it. The rollbar is bitchin, but its a little hard to get in and out with the doorbars in. Ill definitly be taking them out for street use. :-) Ill post pics of the suspension and rollbar/harnesses this weekend.

  • 2-16-99 - Some pics from last weekend at willow springs.. check out the cool duct tape numbers!

  • 2-15-99 - Dropped the car off at Comptech today. Its getting their adjustable ride height suspension kit, roll bar, and harness system installed. Woo hoo! Ill put up some new pix soon as i get the car back..

  • 2-13-99 - Went to Willow Springs for another HPDE. You can read about it here. I got a pic in digital format from the event, ill upload it monday.

  • 2-9-99 - Ill be dropping my car off wednesday at Comptech to get some goodies installed. ;-) Im planning to pick it up friday afternoon, and drive directly down to so cal for the Willow Springs NASA event over the weekend. Im gunna try to bring a digital camera with me to take some pics of the event, and of the new modifications.

  • 2-6-99 - Sears Point HPDE.. you can read about my experience here. It was a blast.

  • 2-1-99 - Ive put up a few mpegs containing different cars racing nsx's. GTR/911/f355 etc..

  • 1-26-99 - Comptech had some good deals going on wheels so i stopped by and picked up some Gewalt mesh style ones in the popular 17/18 combo. While i was waiting for the wheels to be mounted, Chris Nelson gave me a quick tour of the place.. mmmm can you say Aurora V8 engine? :-)) After mouting the wheels, they also retapped my rear license plate mounting holes (wrong screws in it before, so it hammered the threads), and boxed up the old wheels to be shipped back to my house. Also got to sneek a peek at some stuff that isnt released yet.. sssh! And to top it off i managed to get away with a bunch of posters/stickers etc.. New pics of the car will be up this weekend. Now time for springs/shocks...

  • 1-5-99 - Closeup pic of installed RM billet intake.. ill get an overview shot soon.

  • 12-30-98 - This photo of a woman washing an nsx was sent to the nsx mailing list. If you dont like seeing pretty gerlz with cars, dont view it. She is about as nekkid as one can be while still having clothes on. OMG is all i can say. Any gerlz who want to come over and wash my car will get free donutz.
